Positions We Are Hiring For (Summer 2026)

We’re hiring a diverse team of staff to help create a safe, welcoming, and unforgettable camp experience at Kuriakos.

🌲 Program Team Member (Camp Counsellor)

Program Team Members are the heart of camp life. Staff serve as cabin leaders, mentors, and role models for campers while helping create a safe, welcoming, faith-filled community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and care for campers in cabins, day camps, or adventure tent groups

  • Lead worship, Bible study, games, campfires, and daily activities

  • Build strong relationships and support camper well-being in all Safety5 areas

  • Plan and lead one weekly CampOut experience

  • Assist with behind-the-scenes support such as meals, cleaning, or maintenance tasks

  • Support leadership development of STAND or LIT participants



🍳 Food Service Coordinator (Camp Cook)

The Camp Cook plays an essential role in preparing nutritious, safe, and enjoyable meals for campers, staff, and guest groups.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily meals according to menus and dietary needs

  • Maintain food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards

  • Support grocery ordering, inventory, and themed meals

  • Accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions

  • Create a welcoming dining experience for all guests

This role offers valuable culinary and hospitality experience.



🍽 Summer Kitchen Staff (Camp Cook’s Helper)

The Summer Kitchen Staff supports kitchen operations and meal service while learning hands-on food preparation and hospitality skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal prep, serving, and clean-up

  • Follow allergy-safe procedures and sanitation standards

  • Help organize food storage and inventory

  • Prepare snacks and CampOut meal kits

  • Support a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment

A great entry-level role for youth interested in food service. 


🧹 Hospitality Coordinator (Housekeeping Manager)

Hospitality Coordinator provides leadership in facility care and guest hospitality across camp buildings and retreat spaces.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise housekeeping staff and assign daily tasks

  • Coordinate building preparation for retreats and summer camps

  • Manage laundry operations and cleaning schedules

  • Maintain inventory of linens and supplies

  • Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and guest-ready

This role builds strong skills in supervision and facilities management


🧼 Hospitality Team Member (Housekeeping Attendant)

Hospitality Team Member help create a clean, welcoming environment for campers, staff, and guest groups.


Key Responsibilities

  • Clean cabins, lodges, washrooms, and common spaces

  • Restock supplies and assist with group turnovers

  • Support laundry operations and facility upkeep

  • Maintain outdoor cleanliness around entrances and gathering areas

  • Work collaboratively with hospitality and program teams

A key role in supporting guest comfort and camp operations. 


🌿 Groundskeeper

  • The Groundskeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of Kuriakos’ outdoor spaces.


  • Key Responsibilities

    • Mow lawns, maintain trails, and care for outdoor gathering areas

    • Support upkeep of program spaces such as archery, waterfront, and fire pits

    • Assist with minor repairs, painting, and facility projects

    • Operate grounds equipment safely (training provided)

    • Promote environmental stewardship and site cleanliness

    This role provides hands-on experience in maintenance and outdoor operations.


  • 🛟 Bonus: Lifeguards

    Staff with NL Lifeguard Certification are highly encouraged to apply.
